Winter Walks

The weather in England recently has been horrible. Typical January weather. Rainy and gloomy. However, this morning the sun was shining and I could see blue sky!  So we decided to make the most of it and go out for a walk at a local park. The weather might have been a lot better, but the rain from previous days had definitely taken it's toll. The majority of the paths were basically mud baths, squelchy and not pleasant. If only you could see the state of my boots right now you would understand. Nevertheless, it was a much needed break from being indoors and it really reminds me how much I do love living in the countryside. I love being able to wrap up warm in lots of layers and go out into the cold with family members and our dog , Lily, who very much appreciated her walk.

As I sit writing this the weather has returned to it's miserable January state. Typical!  My thoughts are now turning to this coming week. Christmas and New Year has now officially passed. The Christmas tree went down yesterday and my brothers are going back to school this week. That means it is time for me to start being productive. Job applications, I'm coming for you.
