The other week I made a trip up to the outskirts of London to visit a very old friend of mine. I'm talking our parents knew each other before we were even born. I used to live around these parts so it's always nice to go back to a familiar place and also see her. Our trips are normally limited to once or twice a year unfortunately. I squeezed the trip between my working days, so as soon as I got there we took a trip into Richmond for a bit of shopping and lunch. Bills was on my mind for lunch, photos were nowhere near my mind whilst that burger was being consumed unfortunately. But trust me, it was good! Then we did a bit of shopping. I picked up a few little things, and of course another top from French Connection. I honestly can't help it, I have fallen head over heels with that shop. I'm sure you will see some of the purchases crop up around these parts in the not so distant future.
We returned home for a couple of hours for dinner and to get ready to go out for a couple of drinks in Richmond again. I did my friends makeup, who is next to clueless about the beauty world and then we were back on the bus. The night was filled with lots of chatting, laughter and alcohol. We were unfortunately cut short when the pubs started closing at 12. The next morning we woke up and decided to go have a picnic next to the river which was so lovely! We ate lots and lots of food. Sandwiches, cocktail sausages, strawberries, chocolate clusters, crisps.
It felt like as soon as I arrived the countryside was calling me back again. It was a short but well spent trip visiting my best friend. I'll be back soon Richmond, I promise.
